Boy, those google ads up top on my site aren’t even close to being relevant are they?
The beer site is fine, everything else works, but for some reason I can’t figure out my current index template just doesn’t mesh well with google’s JavaScript. I’ve tried a lot of html changing around, but so far no luck. It’s really bugging me because I might as well take them off then, i’ve stopped getting any money (not that it was ever alot) and they’re all about hurricane Katrina donations?
what kind of fucking moron still wants to donate to hurricane Katrina? I suspect it’s just their default ad for when they don’t know what to serve up.
It’s got to be something with the css sheet…pure html works just fine, it’s only when css is mixed in does it go haywire.
- Scary…..driver drags motorcycle for 4 miles under his car. What shocks me is that the rider is still alive, you have to wonder why there weren’t more details about the driver of the car though?
- Also scary, …oh like 10 times, cause it swerved to avoid getting side swiped. Probably an older model explorer or something…but at those speeds just about any car would flip in a situation like that.
- Again with the youtube links, funny commercial about .
- Lastly, from good old chi town, Parking ticket aide roughed up by cop because she wouldn’t void his ticket on his personal car. A cop wanting to get out of a parking ticket because of abuse of power? Inconceivable!
relevancy and you...
today...
I was very very busy.
Loooong day
So….today we bought blinds for two windows and installed them, went to JC Penny’s and registered for our wedding, met my sister for lunch, went to Binny’s for more review beer (hey…we were in the neighborhood), mowed the lawn, did a load of dishes, and ripped 6 bushes out of the front of our house.
And people wonder why I have no time.
But if I did have time I’d be out riding my motorcycle more….a couple of weeks ago I ripped the carburator out of it and brough it to Tim for help on. See the bike has been running for shit for years. Backfiring, not starting at all…totally unreliable.
Just syncronyzing the carbs has really made a huge improvement. It even started on the first try even after sitting for a week. I’m looking forward to testing it out some more to see if this really was the fix.
PS/2 to USB keyboard adapter
So I guess PS2 ports are going the way of the dodo on computers.
It’s not that I really care, but sometimes you have a computer keyboard your really happy with, and if it’s a PS2….well that can pose a problem. At least that’s what happened with Jen’s new computer….nary a single ps2 port to be seen, but plenty of USB ones.
The good news is that they sell adapters for this, PS/2 to USB.
Works like a freakin’ charm….thankfully the mouse didn’t need one because Microsoft’s been making them USB for like…oh 6 freakin’ years already. Really cool cause there’s just no drivers…it’s invisible pretty much.
- Fond memories…remember that Denis Leary song “asshole” from the No Cure for Cancer CD? Somebody set it to . Classic.
Which looks better?
Keep in mind, i’ll be adding a back seat, side bags, and a windshield to any bike probably.
Shadow Aero
Shadow Sabre
Shadow Spirit
Figured out how to stop time
I’ve been waiting all day for a couple of UPS/FedEx shipments, both of which didn’t arrive until after 3:30ish
Feels like the day has just dragged by, but on the bright side there’s a whole new computer and a couple of 250gb hard drives (woot!) now for me to play with. Going to throw them in my SC101 right now.
- What does unloading 298 rounds through a glock look like? Scary…
- Supposedly, Final Fantasy 7 is confirmed for the PS3. Holy crap this is huge new for fanboys if it’s true.
- , a mockumentary about the relationships of otaku.
Am I getting old, or did Nelly Furtado whore up?
I mean, I’m glad to see she’s back. I think her last album didn’t do so well so she’s trying to make a come back….but doing it with songs called “Promiscuous” and “Maneater”.
I dunno…there’s just something cheap about it to me. I thought the last two CD’s were kind of higher on a lyrical basis.
On a seperate note, it’s generally not wise to piss off the guy dressed like Freddy “mother fucking” Kruger.
Suzuki....you have impressed me
This is such a sleek looking bike, it’s the Suzuki 2006 Boulevard M109R
Don’t you just wanna hop on that thing and go fight evil, or a giant robot or something? Actually if it was a transformer then that would be even cooler.
Pedestalpalooza
Well I feel pretty darn good about everything now I think.
I’ve got every post I can salvage back up, the photo gallery is working again (although I lost all custom names and comments), google ads are back (thanks to those who use them, the support is always appreciated).
- Pretty damn funny campaign from Philips for their new Bodygroom razor. The main selling point appears to be that you can shave “anywhere”…ahem.
By the way, should you ever find yourself in need of a pedestal in the chicagoland area, try looking at Hobby Lobby. It’s like pedestal mecca in there, wood, plaster, metal, etc….it’s crazy how many they have.
later gallery2, don't let the door hit ya where god split ya
I’ve been trying….trying to hard to make things work with Gallery2. First there was creating an SQL database, fine I’ll go ahead and roll with that. Then there was the ugly interface, overabundant amount of modules to pick and choose from, the inablility to simply pull from local existing directories without a php localization module being installed, and the last nail in the coffin was the need of mod_rewrite module for apache.
Come back to me Gallery 1.5, I’m sorry I ever strayed. I only went to Gallery2 because Gallery1.4 left me when my hard drive crashed. I swear it will never happen again.
For me, Gallery 1.5 just looks better, runs faster and makes more sense. Maybe if I had 5 gajillion photos or a brand new speedy webserver I’d feel differently.
