drywall removal sucks

Spent most of the morning ripping out drywall from the bathroom we’re remodeling. Think the best advice really is to just rip it all out and replace. Trying to patch drywall usually just ends up in misery and wavey walls.
Of course for people like me, who aren’t good with drywall…that’s just not a good time. But sometimes you have to just suck it up and do it right the first time.
Yesterday was the Holiday Meal kickoff at the Food Bank we volunteer at. I can’t explain how much my back hurts today, it’s a really huge project, and it’s all non stop running and working the whole time. Pretty much each of the 6 groups got about 20 pallets done (45 boxes each). I heard that counts at the end of the day were around 4500 for every group. That’s 4500 thanksgiving meals in just 3 hours….gravy, potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sause, peas, corn…even coffee. Pretty impressive if you ask me. Certainly one of the harder projects to supervise, but the results are so tangible, it’s probably one of our favorites.
Except for running over my toe with a pallet jack….thank god it was a hand jack. I’ve been meaning to buy a pair of steel toed shoes for a while…
- since I can’t see to catch a break, at least i can catch me a shit.
- Do you need help little man? Video of a scare tactics with a midget dressed like a giant mutant rat creature scaring some poor guy.
- Ah, the stupid things we do to impress women. Thankfully .
- Poor little kitty was sealed into a new houses wall during construction. :( he’s ok though, but man…3 weeks with no food/water….

Zombie Self-Defense From how stuff works.com
1. Don’t panic.
2. Get away from the zombies. Most of the time, you can move faster than they can.
3. Gather food, water, an emergency radio, flashlights and weapons, and retreat to a secure location.
4. If possible, retreat to a shopping mall, general retail store or other location where you’ll have easy access to food and supplies.
5. Stay away from heavily populated areas, where the infestation is likely to be heaviest.
6. Barricade all entrances and stay put at all costs.
7. Don’t get surrounded or backed into a corner or other enclosed space.
8. Remember that anyone bitten or killed by a zombie will become a threat to you and your party.
9. Wait patiently for rescue and make long-term preparations for your survival.
Of course you could purchase a copy of the :

Ever been listening to a song and heard something that sounds like your cell phone, thereby forcing you to stop/mute the song to check it. Only to realize that it’s not your cellphone?
yeah. that sucks.
- The coolest, more l337 computer case mod possible. The cardboard box box. *warning* over clocking may void your warranty and cause the computer to burst into flames. Also, do not taunt happy fun ball.
-I can’t seem to get approval to purchase a pack of post it notes with my corp credit card. Good to know the federal government doesn’t have problems like that. More bullshit “let’s throw money at the problem until it goes away” from FEMA.
-Serenity is up to 24million as of today. Damn that movie kicked ass….can’t wait for the DVD with extras *drool*

Guess what came in the mail today?
My free demo copy of Dragon Quest VIII that I requested from this website. It’s for the PS2 and the character’s are designed by the same creatore of Dragon Ball, so they’re instantly recognizable.
I hope it’s good. Could use a good RPG after Xenosaga II….man I remember playing the first game of the series, Dragon Warrior back in the day of middle school:

Damn you metal slime, stop mocking me!

All I know is that I want to play Halo 2 :)
So, I’ve decided to ask for help. Moutain Dew is having a thing right now called “every10minutes” offering a free xbox 360 every ten minutes in theory.

So basically, what I’m asking is that if you have any codes you don’t plan on using, would
update: oh yeah, and what happens if I win with a code somebody gave me? I’ll send you a christmas card…yup, that’s the big prize :P

Considering i don’t really write anything of any importance here, you’d be surprised that i haven’t been feeling like posting.
Work, as always, has been really busy. It just seems that a lot of the projects going on are taking almost all my free time to run and organize. Now, honestly I’m not the most organized person you’ll ever meet. Never could get the hang of carrying around a day planner or anything like that.
Additionally, I have this horrible habit of doing the hard stuff great, but screwing up something simple in the beginning. Kind of like doing a calculus equation correctly, but since i forgot to multiply 10 by 2 in the beginning, it’s all wrong. Just stupid stuff like that.
Migrate 50,000 ATM pvc entries to new equipment? Check
Convert hundreds of static /23′s to new boxes? Check
Modify hundreds of route statements to new loopbacks? Check
Request and route multiple /19′s for dynamic customers? Check
Remember to submit the paper work notifying other groups? Damn…
Stupid paperwork :( Like they say, the devil is really in the details.
Of course honestly, I think I just need a vacation. Like a real one, ya know.
Or, I could really need minions. Sometimes your just to close to the trees to see the forest.

- It’s been about six month’s, so it’s time for Barrett Lyon’s story to get regurgitated across the web again. I mean, it’s a great story and all, but it’s always the same thing repackaged over and over again.
- What is about police cars that turns them into drunk magnets when parked on the side of the road? Quite impressive video really, lucky guy.
- Online virtual pumpkin carving. Great when you just don’t have the time to get a real one. Sent by Donna.
- Interesting article on hoarding and the psychological aspects of it. Really is a sad illness.
- Very funny outtakes from the old TV show Full House. They could make afortune with these on DVD, or maybe release an R rated HBO version.
I finally was able to replace my motorcycle handlebars sunday with a new pair of OEM ones. Thank god that’s over, but now I have to get used to it all over again since I’ve been riding Jen’s for months now.
