Dammit, my DSL is down again!
I swear to god, lazy people who can’t take the time to actually check for DSL signal on a pair before swapping it drive me nuts. At this rate your gonna find my camped out next to the cross connect box waiting for the tech to show up and put me on a loaded pair.
Now how am I going to get my spam? Speaking of which, here are a few titles of which I get almost daily.

I had, what can only be described, as the single worst dream idea of my life. This happened a couple of nights ago, but I had forgotten about it until Jen reminded me of it last evening.
Tinfoil Bubble Gum.
In my dream, I picked up a piece of it, and started just chewing away. If you’ve ever accidentally bitten into a piece of aluminum foil you know the horror I speak of. Gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it. Why I would dream about chewing gum made out of tin foil is beyond me.
Also, I think we’re pretty sure on a date now for the wedding.

Irony as defined by me, is being a DSL engineer, and having your DSL go down.
Just got back online today. Crapped out about 9:45am Friday. Couldn’t even get a single frequency channel to sync (32kb). Of course everybody said it was either IW, or NID Splitter, or the Modem.
Turn out, after working on it this morning with the Telco guy who came out, somebody swapped my pair from the SAC to the pedestal with a loaded pair. Yup, somebody took a functioning DSL line, and move it onto a pair with load coils.
Oh well, at least we’re back online. thank god….

….as you can see in my webcam. I decided to increase the history to 30 images total. Figured why not, since the program can do it….might was well use it.
Now I just need to design a graphical overlay for conquercam….figured something stupid in the top that said dennisjudd.com or some crap like that.
Oh well, at least now i’m off the call. time to go to bed. really tired, haven’t slept well in like 24 hours and tomorrow is another long day.
