Santa’s Village Azoosment Park June 2013

Posted by Jen on July 24, 2013

Just a little more than a month ago we decided to take the kids to a local amusement park. Santa’s Village had been closed for a long time but a couple years ago they re-opened it up as a smaller, petting zoo hybrid type amusement park. Most of the rides look just like the kind that you ride at traveling fairs but there is still a lot of the old infrastructure in place. Anyways rides, animals…kids wanted to go and we wanted to do something special with them.

We brought a wagon with us and I’d probably recommend you do the same. Of course since the day was overcast and it was a weekday the crowds were not bad at all so we didn’t have to worry to much. Right when you walk in there was a woman with a snake for the kids to see. I was surprised the kids weren’t more apprehensive but they seemed to dig it. They also have a lot of little animal habitats setup through the park for Turtles, Lemurs, Capybara, etc. First they had a four seater truck ride that everybody had fun going on.

After that we made it to the goat petting area…..they have a lot of goats, and those goats like to also sneak out when your going in. They are also very friendly. After that they also had some deer and some horses you could ride around in a circle.

After that we ended up riding the Balloon Race quite a few times, the kids always seemed to go back to it even if the creaky noises it made didn’t sit well with me.

After that we hit up a bunch of rides. They had a reindeer ride that you can tell I found every exciting, a little boat ride Tabitha loved, the carousel of course and a little spin snap thing Amelia was terrified of but couldn’t wait to go on a second time with Connor.

And of course the only way to end a day….massive amounts of SUGAR!

Bonus:
This sticker is on the gift shop as you enter the park…

So, we went to Yo Gabba Gabba Live!

Posted by Jen on January 21, 2013

And it was AWESOME!
Seriously, even Dennis would say that it wasn’t so bad, which is a step up from this doesn’t suck…
So Tabitha was up and dancing almost the whole time…she was exhausted by the last ten minutes and was on my lap. Amelia had a blast and loved seeing them. And Connor got up 10 minutes into it and gave me a hug thanking me for bringing them…although we did have a moment with him being rude…Here are some pics highlighting the fun:

It was really totally worth it and I can’t wait to something like this with the kids again!

Amelia Turns 4

Posted by Jen on July 8, 2012

Here are Amelia’s pro pics for her 4th bithday. As usual, Pam from JCP did a fantabulous job – my kids really do love her and I don’t know what I would do if she left…I also made the dress (Amelia picked out the material via texting with Dennis) and I bought the headband from Two Little Wrens. They were super quick and it was perfect.
So here they are:

Connor’s 5 Year Pics

Posted by Jen on June 13, 2012

I am horrible at updating the website lately…I just don’t always have the motivation to do it….that and with the 3 kids, I tend to have only a minute here a minute there to really get on here. That is barely enough time to form a thought and then post it. Anyway, enough with the excuses. Here are Connor’s five year pictures:

Maybe I will get around to posting his birthday pictures before Amelia’s birthday in 2 weeks, but don’t hold your breath:)

Summer fun

Posted by Jen on May 28, 2012

Last night after dinner we went outside a bit to play. It was so hot though that we had to get undressed to play with our squirt guns!

We threatened to squirt mommy but then we learned an important lesson. Mommy always has the hose!

Happy Mother’s Day to Me

Posted by Jen on May 13, 2012

Here is what I got for Mother’s Day this year:

It is my new crafting/sewing epicenter. Maybe someday I will be able to use it more than a minute here, a minute there.

I also got this trolley to use for crafts.

Gonna use it for the kids stuff so I can wheel it into whatever room we are currently crafting in to use.

And lastly, my little momma – hard to believe she is 18 months old already.

I know Tabitha is tall for 17 months, but she looks like such a peanut compared to my monster Connor
